The weather only half cooperated, but our first car show was a small financial success
for the kids of the county. I learned a lot that is going to help when our new show opens
next year, much earlier: tentative dates include October 15, 2011.
July heat and brewing thunderstorms kept entrants away this year, though enough
braved the predictions, for a week, local weather types called for thunderstorms--to
assure a small profit.
We made mistakes--or I did--that we'll eliminate for 2012. If the weather cooperates,
the show will not only go on, but will be more enjoyable for many more people.

Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate for the 2011 early year show, leaving a few
too many mud puddles at the site. We had to shut down before many entries arrived.
The next show is going to be on a fully paved site.
