The headlight is from
Chuck Waring's 1934
Jaguar SS 1. 1934 was the
first year the Jaguar name
and emblem was on
Swallow Standard's (AKA
Swallow Coachbuilding)
cars.
The '57 Chev (spear)
belongs to Bobby Hall.
A carbide cutter insert for
a woodworking jointer.
The '37 Ford is a classic hot rod, owned by Todd and Tracy Webber;
Central Virginia is home to a wide array of wonderful vehicles. Few have
showed up in national magazines, so they are fresh and new to
readers. The backgrounds are wonderful, too, with a variety of lakes and
mountains from which to choose.
The 'Vette is Tony Bailey's 1960, with a
remarkable 20+ year old restoration.
Chuck Waring also owns
the Cord 810 Phaeton
whose side pipes are
shown above.
The motion shot is from a fiftieth anniversary
vintage car series at Virginia International
Raceway in Alton, VA. Check out
www.virclub.com for other events at a
remarkably well done road racing course.
The sternwheeler was photographed from
the shore at Marietta, OH.
The horse track shots are from Charles
Town, WV, and are included primarily
because I enjoyed shooting a competition
from somewhere other than a spot where
only those with press passes can go. These
were shot from the rail, while I stood among
other railbirds.
